What is CryptoGrill?

Key to decentralisation is the ability of stakeholders to delegate stake. In a proof of stake system such as Cardano, stakeholders have an obligation to take part in the protocol. To make this practical, stakeholders are able to delegate their obligations to others — so-called stake pools — which are able to fulfill the obligations. Stake pools operate core nodes that are online at all times and take part in the protocol and produce blocks in the blockchain. CryptoGrill is one of these nodes.

Why is this called CryptoGrill?

Assuming it’s not obvious, the word “stake” sounds the same as “steak”. Steaks are put on a grill. So that’s where it came from.

Should I send my ADA to CryptoGrill to get stake rewards?

No. Your Ada currency should never leave your wallet when you stake with us or anyone else. By staking you are only assigning the ‘voting rights’ of your Ada holdings to the chosen pool and you continue to keep your Ada currency in your wallet. Never send Ada currency to any pool. If a pool asks you to send your Ada to their wallet, it’s a scam.
